Alicia got hooked on Pilates 10 years ago when she began her own practice of it. It worked better for her than any other form of exercise she had ever tried and she practiced it for 5 years before certifying as a Pilates instructor at The Pilates Center in Boulder, CO. She has been teaching Pilates for the last 5 years. She is also a certified sign-language interpreter.

She learned that not only was Pilates amazing for toning the body, but also for rehabilitating from injuries and strengthening the body to avoid injury. She loves that Pilates is effective at any age, and many different levels of fitness. She enjoys teaching people of all ages, and varying goals – e.g. for exercise or for more therapeutic purposes. Alicia believes that Pilates should improve peoples everyday well being, and help develop better daily habits in posture, thereby keeping bodies aligned and avoiding pain and injury.

She believes strongly in the Pilates method and loves advancing people through the work and seeing peoples bodies and health improve.
